Fabio Serblin - Serblin & Son

Designing and building audio equipment can be so contagious that entire families get involved. Children raised in the spirit of musical passion often inherit the talent of their parents and relatives. One such case is the Serblin family. When audiophiles hear this name, the first association comes immediately - Franco, the legendary speaker designer. He was the son of a Croatian navy soldier who emigrated with his wife from Istria to Italy. His first recognisable work was so original that it simply had to attract the attention of music lovers. We are, of course, talking about the device known as the Snail Project, consisting of a subwoofer and satellite speakers protruding from it like the eyes of a snail. Three years later, Franco founded Sonus Faber - and here we could write a separate article. After years of creating speakers that became icons of Italian audio, he returned to even more boutique craftsmanship, creating equipment bearing his own name. The second thread of the family history leads to the Serblin & Son brand. And here's a surprise - it's not Franco's son behind it, but his nephew, Fabio. He was already familiar with electronics in the 1980s - he co-created, among other things, the Sonus Faber Quid integrated amplifier, and then went his own way, establishing a company called Fase Evoluzione Audio, making amplifiers, separate systems, and CD players. At some point, the trail goes cold, and Fase Evoluzione Audio disappears from the market for many years. Fabio Serblin returned to building amplifiers in 2019, founding Serblin & Son. Its first product was the Frankie amplifier, named in tribute to his uncle. And so the mystery is solved - the Serblin name continues to lead us towards sound, only this time it tells the story through electronics.

Unison Research S6, Simply Italy & Triode 25 Black Edition

Unison Research is celebrating with a special edition of our most successful products - Simply Italy, Triode 25 and S6. The Black Edition boasts advanced technical and sonic performance, featuring a new cosmetic design with a piano black wood front panel, black gun metal finish, and updated lettering graphics. Marconi-Osram later known as M&O Valve Company was founded in 1919 by the joining of the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co. and The Edison General Electric Co. (Osram). Since the 1950's, only the very best M&O Valve Company audio valves have been labeled Genalex Gold Lion. To be labeled Genalex Gold Lion, a valve had to endure and pass the toughest testing the industry offered. This insured that all Genalex Gold Lion valves could be relied on for the most demanding audio equipment making them the premier audiophile valves. Today's new production Genalex Gold Lion vacuum valves continues with the same commitment to quality and reliability. Still the first choice for audiophiles, the excellent performance of these new production Genalex Gold Lion valves faithfully pays homage to those M&O Valve Company beginnings. Valve audio never sounded better. Unison selected Genalex Gold Lion ECC83 and ECC82 signal valves for their ability to produce a large, detailed soundstage, which is highly sought after by discerning audiophiles who demand the highest quality sound. These valves are known for their superb linearity, balanced sections, and gold plated pins.

Unison Research Simply 845

The creation of this audio component is the result of years of design experience, in-depth knowledge of electronic tubes, and our passion and desire to make unique pieces of great value, in which traditional craftsmanship is combined and integrated with high electronic technology. The New Simply 845 ranks at the top of Unison Research's line of integrated tube amplifiers, second only to the historic Absolute 845. The Simply 845, like the Absolute 845, also employs the famous 845 direct-heated triodes, tubes well known for remarkable durability and extraordinary sonic qualities. The great advantage of integrated amplifiers is the incorporation in a single chassis of the preamplifier and the power amplifier. This makes it possible to eliminate the need for high-cost interconnect cables that are never truly neutral to sound reproduction. It should be noted that in the renewed production of the Simply 845 its size has been reduced by bringing all input and output connectors, strictly gold-plated and of a new type, to the rear of the amplifier.

Sonus Faber Duetto

Sonus Faber announced the launch of its new active wireless stereo speaker - Duetto, a wireless stereo speaker system featuring a multicomponent hi-fi system with distinct characteristics across design, sound quality, connectivity, and ease of use. The external design of Duetto follows the Sonus Faber decades-old philosophy of the most natural sound reproduction through the use of natural materials. The Duetto lute-shaped wood cabinet merged with an elegant and custom-designed heatsink guarantees stiffness and musicality while avoiding internal resonance, creating the Sonus Faber signature Natural Sound. It also has a leather top interface Senso which allows for the user to control and set up the speaker functions such as volume, input selection, and connections.

All are carried out in order to ensure exceptional performance.

Norma Audio Revo IPA-140

The history of Norma Audio began in 1987 in Cremona - the hometown of famous composers, such as Ponchielli and Monteverdi, and great violin masters - Stradivari, Amati, and Guarneri. It was a man with an equally Italian-sounding name - Enrico Rossi - who created the apparatus on which you can listen to such wonderful music in the comfort of your living room. The first device manufactured under the Norma Audio brand was the NS 123 amplifier. It was not a spectacular commercial success, but nobody expected that. A completely new chapter in the company's history began when it was acquired by Opal Electronics, a manufacturer of electronic measuring devices. In 1991, Norma's owner started a research project to understand how audio equipment can degrade sound and how this can be avoided. Seven years later, he found what he was looking for. It was certainly not one brilliant solution but rather a collection of rules and general guidelines. Unlike manufacturers who have built their reputation on a particular technical solution, Norma doesn't base its entire business on a single patent. But if you would like to know what you can expect from this gear, Enrico Rossi makes it clear - the sound should be natural, dynamic, and succinct with a very realistic midrange.

Sonus Faber Maxima Amator

Sonus Faber is proud to announce the Maxima Amator, a two-way design speaker that successfully merges two drivers to achieve a unique emotion with the maximum representation of natural sound. The two-way concept, often considered the purest system achievable in regard to electro-acoustic, has been a strong piece of brand identity for Sonus Faber products and the Maxima Amator aims to pay homage to this tradition and to the music itself, leading the listener to its fullest enjoyment, offering immersion in its deepest essence.
