Kanto Audio Yu4, Yu6, Tuk & Tuk Grand
Kanto Audio has introduced a redesigned generation of its speaker lineup, led by the new Tuk Grand flagship and accompanied by updated versions of the company's Yu4, Yu6, and Tuk models. The refreshed range represents a broader acoustic and industrial design revision across both powered and passive variants. Originally launched in 2014, the Yu series helped establish Kanto Audio's reputation for compact, accessible loudspeakers combining integrated amplification with modern connectivity. The Tuk followed in 2019 as a more performance-oriented model positioned closer to the hi-fi segment. With the introduction of the Tuk Grand and the redesign of the existing families, the company is now extending that concept with larger enclosures, revised driver integration, updated electronics, and a new visual direction intended to align more closely with contemporary interiors.
The Tuk Grand becomes the most ambitious loudspeaker in Kanto Audio's portfolio to date. Compared with the original Tuk, the new model adopts a larger cabinet with increased internal volume and revised driver implementation, resulting in improved low-frequency extension and a broader soundstage presentation. The AMT tweeter architecture used in the Tuk series has also been refined across both Tuk models, maintaining high-resolution detail while aiming for a more balanced overall tonal character. The enclosure itself introduces sharper geometry and a more architectural form language, giving the speaker a stronger visual presence alongside its acoustic revisions.
The redesigned Tuk follows the same direction, replacing the rounded cabinet edges of the previous generation with a more defined square-corner profile. According to the manufacturer, this change helps reduce edge diffraction while contributing to a more stable stereo image. Increased cabinet volume provides a more controlled acoustic platform for the drivers, while a revised tweeter structure and updated waveguide geometry support smoother high-frequency response and more consistent off-axis performance. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX HD, USB-C, two RCA line inputs, and a TOSLINK optical input, preserving the model's role as a flexible all-in-one desktop or compact stereo solution.
The new Yu4 and Yu6 models also receive updated cabinet structures, revised drivers, and refreshed electronics. DSP tuning has been refined to improve dispersion and stereo presentation, while powered versions retain their integrated amplifier platforms and connectivity features, including Bluetooth 5.3, phono input, USB-C, RCA inputs, and subwoofer output. Passive variants continue to offer the same cabinet architecture and acoustic updates for users who prefer pairing the speakers with external amplification.
Across the entire range, Kanto Audio's development work focused on closer integration between industrial design and acoustic engineering. Subtle reshaping of the front baffle and tweeter waveguide helps control high-frequency dispersion and maintain stable imaging even when listening off-axis, supporting a wider and more consistent listening field in domestic environments. The new Yu4 and Yu6 models will be available in White, Black, Walnut, Ice Blue, and Green finishes, while the Tuk and Tuk Grand will be offered in Black, White, Walnut, Burled Engineered Wood, and Butter. Both product families are scheduled to launch in summer 2026.
