A huge expansion of Roon

The cadence of new Roon Ready certifications has increased tenfold since the start of the pandemic. In 2020, just a handful of new products were certified each month, and in the first half of this year Roon Labs is already announcing over 100 new Roon Ready and Roon Tested devices. Forty new brands have submitted products for certification in that timeframe. This includes key product ranges and new launches from notable audio manufacturers, including Arcam, Astell & Kern, Cambridge Audio, and JBL.

NAD M10 V2

NAD Electronics announced the new and improved Masters M10 V2 BluOS Streaming Amplifier, which continues its "just add speakers" revolution of Hi-Fi. The M10 V2 features 100 watts per channel of amplification and BluOS streaming capabilities and adds the capability to expand with Dolby Digital Surround decoding, an enclosed IR remote control, and updated gain algorithms. "The original M10 caught the industry off-guard and made audiophiles and non-audiophiles reimagine what hi-fi can and should be. The M10 V2 continues where the first left off and adds even more versatility as a two-channel or potentially a wireless home theatre system." - stated Cas Oostvogel, Product Manager for NAD Electronics. 

Denon Home Sound Bar 550

Denon introduced the Denon Home Sound Bar 550, a high-performance, a compact soundbar that adds superior TV audio to the Denon Home family of products. With the ability to deliver Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D surround sound from a six-driver array, the soundbar makes movies, TV, and music sound huge. Listeners can also stream high-resolution music from their favorite music services or local music libraries directly to the soundbar leveraging HEOS Built-in. Additionally, listeners who already invested in the HEOS ecosystem, including other Denon Home products, can add the Denon Home Sound Bar 550 as a separate wireless zone without pulling a single wire.

DALI Oberon C

DALI launched the Oberon C Series, DALI's most affordable smart speaker system, bringing wireless active Hi-Fi within the reach of many more music lovers and audiophiles.

Bluesound Pulse Sub+

Bluesound, makers of the award-winning hi-res wireless multi-room line of audio players, announced the Pulse Sub+, an all-new subwoofer addition to the brand's high-performance ecosystem. NAD T758 V3i

NAD Electronics announced the launch of the T758 V3i, a performance update to the award-winning T758 A/V Surround Sound Receiver. The affordable surround sound receiver will now come ready with Dolby Atmos, DTS Master Audio, BluOS high-res multi-room audio, Dirac Live, 4K UHD Video, and Apple AirPlay 2 all built-in.

Hegel H95

Hegel introduced the H95 integrated amplifier, which replaces the H90 in September. The H90 was a big step for the Norwegian company when launched three years ago. Because of the implementation of the SoundEngine2 module it sounded a great deal better than its predecessor, the H80. As good as the H90 was and still is, its streaming and digital capabilities are slowly becoming obsolete. Hegel's team since designed the H190 and H120. Both of which offer both Spotify Connect, a far more stable UPnP connection as well as upcoming updates making them AirPlay2 compatible.

Naim Muso 2nd Generation
