Cabasse Murano Alto

Cabasse introduced their brand new column speaker. Assembled in Cabasse studios located in Plouzané, France, the Murano Alto is a compact column speaker offering big sound. The vitality and the generosity of the association of the medium-tweeter coaxial driver from our masterpiece system l'Océan, to the two woofers with honeycomb membranes, make it possible to peruse through all genres of music procuring intense delight to listeners everywhere.

The heart of the triaxial TC23 driver, which also drives the high-end L'Océan speaker, the BC13 guarantees perfect reproduction of tones, without parasitic sound nor listening fatigue, with an unrivaled soundstage. Today, BC13 has a new aluminium wave broadcast system specifically designed for optimal use with Murano's woofer driver.

The new 17ND36 woofer drivers were specially designed for Murano speakers. In order to quickly obtain rich and deep bass in a compact speaker, Cabasse engineers miniaturized the same concept from the Sphère's 55cm woofer driver. The concave membrane with a honeycomb structure provides extra rigidity, as well as cushioned movement, resulting in high performance & vibration without deformation. Guided by a long bobbin that plunges into the 45mm air gap of the powerful motor weighing in at 4kg, this membrane bestows Murano Alto a quality of bass that has the purity and solidity of crystal.

Murano Alto's 3 long, curvy vents create extra impressive bass due to its richness and its extension. Based on the acoustics of the room where it is located, and the position of the speakers within the room, and whether or not the venting is plugged or unplugged. Several options are available to the listen in order to configure the maximum amount of bass with the best extension to extremely deep bass. Info and photos by Cabasse.
