Audiomica Laboratory Andra Reference & Rhod Reference M2

Audiomica Laboratory has updated its product line with two models that belong to their reference Red series. The current Audiomica Labs catalog includes over 60 proprietary cables, and the existing models are successively modified and updated after extensive testing. The latest cables are the Red Reference series which have been recognized by demanding music lovers around the world for their great value for money.

The Andra Reference M2 was produced with streaming systems and music servers in mind. The conductive structure of the Andra Reference M2 consists of 4 pairs of copper conductors with compositions of 0.57 mm. The wire pairs are shielded with aluminum-coated polyester foil, which additionally is supported by shielding of the copper braid. The plugs used are high-quality eight-pin RJ45 connectors with gold-plated pins. The cable is developed under Category 7 (bandwidth up to 1300 MHz) and is designed to work with advanced TCP/IP and UDP protocols that enable Hi-Res Audio/4K streaming. The cable complies with all previous standards. According to the designer, Andra References provides a faithful, vivid reproduction of image and sound.

It's worth mentioning that Audiomica, apart from Andra Reference M2, offers three other LAN cables - Anort Consequence, Artoc Ultra Reference, and Arago Excellence. Their premiere presentation took place in April 2018 at the Electronics Show in Warsaw, which is the largest consumer electronics and new technologies show in Poland. Over the past three years, the cables have been tested in many streaming systems and have been refined to be the leading offer of these types of cables in the international arena.

In addition, Audiomica announced a new modification in the analog Rhod Reference interconnect marked as M2. "The main and most important information regarding the modification of the cable is the fact that we have changed from the original silver-plated copper N5 and replaced it with purer N6 copper. Based on the previous version, the structure of the cable has been maintained (considering the cross-section and diameter of the conductors) which did not change." - says Łukasz Mika, the owner and main designer of Audiomica. The cable is equipped with gold-plated RCA (AML-RCA1B-Au/L) or XLR (AML-XLR1B-Au) plugs. The cables are available in three versions - Standard, Premium and Luxury. The standard version is without a DFSS filter and a special anti-static muff. At the customer's request, the cable can be made with an additional anti-interference DFSS filter (Premium version) or TFSS filter (Luxury version). The prices of Andra Reference & Rhod Reference M2 start at €270 for 0.5 m, with an €80 charge for each additional 0.5 m. Info and photos by Audiomica Laboratory.
