EVE Audio EXO
EVE Audio has introduced a new generation of nearfield monitors with the EXO Series, a family of compact loudspeakers designed to combine advanced acoustic engineering with straightforward, hands-on control. Consisting of the EXO 24, EXO 25, EXO 27 and EXO 28, the range is intended to bring EVE's trademark precision and translation to a wide spectrum of users, from home producers and musicians to engineers working in more demanding project and professional studios. The focus is on monitors that sound honest, integrate naturally into modern hybrid workflows and are easy to set up and tune in a variety of rooms.
At the core of every EXO model is EVE Audio's newly developed Precision Air Motion Transformer tweeter, working together with a Guided Directivity Control waveguide. This combination is designed to deliver a wide, stable sweet spot and a balanced, open soundstage even when the listener is not seated perfectly on-axis, which reflects how many creators move around their workspace in day-to-day use. Each monitor also incorporates on-board DSP for room tuning and system calibration, with EQ, filters and volume settings adjusted via a rear-panel OLED display and the company's SMART-knob interface. Ethernet connectivity is built in to allow future software control via the forthcoming EVE Control application.
Low and mid frequencies are handled by custom-coated aluminium woofers driven by high-headroom Class D amplification. This pairing is aimed at producing detailed, punchy lows and a clean, precise top end so that decisions made during mixing, mastering or composing translate reliably beyond the studio. All EXO models share EVE's Low Diffraction Enclosure geometry with rounded edges to minimise cabinet reflections and improve imaging, while rear aerodynamic bass ports, LED status indicators and multiple mounting points underline the intention to make these monitors as practical to live with as they are revealing to listen to.
Connectivity has been specified with modern hybrid setups in mind. Each EXO loudspeaker provides balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analogue inputs alongside S/PDIF digital input and output, making it straightforward to integrate the monitors with audio interfaces, mixers, desktop devices and digital playback chains. Wake-on-Signal and Wake-on-LAN functions allow the speakers to power up automatically when audio is detected or when triggered over the network, helping to streamline the start of a session and reduce unnecessary energy consumption when the studio is idle.
Within the series, users can choose a model that best matches the size and acoustic needs of their room. The EXO 24 uses a 4 inch woofer and is specified from 54 Hz to 24 kHz with a maximum SPL of 102 dB, making it suitable for compact studios and mobile rigs. The EXO 25 steps up to a 5 inch driver, extending the claimed low-frequency reach to 44 Hz and raising maximum SPL to 110 dB for small to mid-sized rooms. The EXO 27 employs a 6.5 inch woofer, covers 41 Hz to 24 kHz and can deliver up to 116 dB, positioning it as an all-round choice for general production work. At the top of the range the EXO 28 uses an 8 inch driver, reaches down to a stated 37 Hz and offers a maximum SPL of 120 dB, targeting larger control rooms and bass-heavy projects where higher output and headroom are required.
Founded in Berlin, EVE Audio designs and manufactures precision studio monitors used by musicians, producers and engineers around the world. The company places a strong emphasis on honest, revealing sound combined with intelligent technology and workflow-friendly features, developing products intended to support accurate monitoring from professional studios to smaller creative workspaces. The EVE Audio EXO Series is now shipping through authorised dealers and distributors worldwide, with local pricing and demonstration availability determined by regional partners. Manufacturer's suggested retail prices start at approximately €479 for the EXO 24, rising with size and output as you move up the range. Info and photos by EVE Audio.
