Audio Video Show in Warsaw is the second biggest hi-fi show in Europe, and this year it just got bigger. Some say it's not much smaller than High End in Munich now and we are not surprised. The event was able to grow so much thanks to the new venue. In recent years the show was held in three hotels in Warsaw, but even four or five hotels wouldn't provide the necessary room for 135 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors we had this year, so the organizer of the show replaced one of the hotels with... The Polish National Stadium. Not the football pitch of course, but rather 60 VIP rooms and many, many stands located on the corridors. For the first time in history, the Audio Video Show included a special headphone zone with more than 50 brands showing their products and allowing visitors to listen to every one of them, much like the CanJam, but to us - even more interesting.

This edition of the show was special for several reasons. The first one is the name - Audio Show has been changed to Audio Video Show because there were always some home theater presentations, and this time we got quite a few of them, including new TVs by Sony, Samsung and Philips, 4K projectors by Epson, SIM2 and Panasonic, as well as some multichannel sound systems with Dolby Atmos presentation by Onkyo and Klipsch. The second reason is the sheer scale of the event. It was impossible to visit all the rooms in three days, so we just tried to take as many photos as possible and select the most interesting ones later. The third reason is connected with the second one - because the Audio Video Show in Warsaw is so huge, it's no longer just a Polish show, but more of an international one, with companies from all over the world exhibiting on their own, without the help of the local distributor, sometimes even looking for one. In our opinion, this is what gets the show very close to the one in Munich. Some people were even calling it the Warsaw High End Show, which is not the right name, but it certainly tells some part of the story. Next year we're going to have the 20th edition of the show, so it will probably be slightly bigger again. As for now, enjoy the pictures and see you next year!
