Bowers & Wilkins 707 Prestige Edition

In the world of hi-fi there are few things as satisfying as a well voiced compact monitor that can fill a living room with the authority of larger loudspeakers while looking like a small piece of industrial art. It is exactly this role that Bowers & Wilkins has in mind for the latest version of its smallest 700 Series model. The 707 Prestige Edition is a standmount loudspeaker created for music lovers who are unwilling to compromise on either aesthetics or sound quality and who appreciate carefully executed details and a finish that clearly sets their speakers apart.

Harman Kardon Aura Studio 5

Harman Kardon is returning to the market with a new generation of one of its most recognisable speakers. Aura Studio 5 is the latest incarnation of the brand’s transparent audio system, designed not only to fill a room with music but also to shape the atmosphere with light that matches the moment, from a calm background glow to the visual backdrop for an evening with friends. The new model immediately stands out through its form. A slim, transparent dome with an undercut edge reveals a multi layer interior that creates a sense of depth and visually draws the eye into the centre. Light plays across the subtly tinted, slightly mirrored surface, while the whole structure sits on a soft looking base finished in a high quality acoustic fabric. As a result the iconic Aura silhouette has gained a more contemporary, slightly more substantial profile that is at home in both minimalist and more cosy interiors.

Piega Premium 801

Piega has unveiled the Premium 801, a new floorstanding loudspeaker that takes its long running Premium Series into fresh territory between the existing Premium 701 and the Coax 611. Conceived as a reference model for the range, it is intended to combine Swiss precision engineering, meticulous craftsmanship and a more ambitious acoustic architecture in a slim, elegant enclosure that still integrates easily into domestic living spaces. The aim is to offer a speaker that raises performance standards in its category while remaining recognisably part of the Premium family in both sound and appearance.

Krix Evara

Krix has introduced a new design focused evolution of two of its most successful Hi-Fi models with the launch of the Evara range, a compact loudspeaker line created for modern living spaces where sound quality needs to coexist with décor, limited space and everyday use. The Evara family debuts with the Equinox Evara bookshelf speaker and the Seismix 1 Evara subwoofer, combining the established acoustic performance of their predecessors with a more contemporary visual identity intended to make it easier to integrate a serious stereo or TV system into apartments, shared homes and lifestyle oriented listening areas.

Erik Wiederholtz - Perlisten

Perlisten entered the hi-fi market in a way that surprised many - suddenly, yet with clear ambition. Its debut was far from accidental, led by seasoned engineers and managers with decades of experience in transducers, measurement systems, and loudspeaker design. Co-founder and president Dan Roemer brings over 25 years of industry expertise, including work with the NHT research group, MITek Corporation, and projects in the automotive and aerospace sectors. Lars Johansen, with more than 30 years in audio, has contributed to brands like JBL, Harman Kardon, Klipsch, and Jamo, and later served as partner and president of Miller & Kreisel, supplying solutions for recording studios and premium home theatres. Since its formal launch in 2016, Perlisten has aimed to deliver top-tier products, reflected in its pricing. The introduction of the more accessible A-Series marked a shift, opening the brand to a wider audience. Interest continues to grow, yet many enthusiasts remain unaware of the company's origins, the people behind it, and its long-term objectives. This is why I decided to speak with someone who has been with Perlisten from the start and understands every stage of its development - from early concepts and factory selection to launches and subsequent product lines. Erik Wiederholtz, Perlisten's Technical Director, is an acoustics specialist with experience in transducer modelling, dynamic speakers, MEMS digital microphones, hearing aids, headphones, and small speakers. Our conversation, I believe, will shed light on the company's foundations and help readers understand what Perlisten represents.

Primare Allt-i-Ett

Primare has unveiled its new all-in-one audio system, the Allt-i-Ett - a complete high-end solution combining a network player, amplifier and loudspeakers within a single elegant enclosure. Designed to deliver premium performance with Scandinavian simplicity, the Allt-i-Ett embodies the Swedish manufacturer's minimalist approach to audio engineering. Its name, meaning 'all-in-one' in Swedish, reflects both the concept and the company's philosophy of bringing outstanding sound quality to as many listeners as possible, without the need for multiple components. At its core, the Allt-i-Ett delivers a powerful 300-watt peak output supported by advanced digital signal processing and a versatile range of connection options. The system is designed for both convenience and fidelity, offering easy integration into any modern living space. It caters equally to those who want a refined, plug-and-play system and to experienced audiophiles seeking a high-performance secondary setup.

Monitor Audio Silver 7G

Monitor Audio has announced two new limited-edition loudspeakers based on its Silver Series 7G range - the Silver 300 7G Limited Edition and the Silver 100 7G Limited Edition. Both models are presented in a new Carbon Black Metallic finish and individually numbered, combining subtle design updates with proven acoustic engineering. The Silver Series 7G platform, introduced in 2021, sits at the heart of Monitor Audio's mid-range catalogue, bridging the gap between the Bronze and Gold lines. It introduced several key innovations, including Rigid Surface Technology II (RST II) and a new generation of Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium (C-CAM) drivers. These limited-edition versions keep that same foundation while refining both aesthetics and detail to mark the series' ongoing success.

Wharfedale Evo 5

Wharfedale has unveiled the new Evo 5 Series - a comprehensive update to the multi-award-winning Evo 4 line that builds upon its success with a series of technical and acoustic refinements. The British manufacturer describes the new generation as a natural evolution rather than a reinvention, with changes to the cabinets, crossovers and drive units designed to deliver higher-end sound without higher-end pricing. As before, the series includes both standmount and floorstanding loudspeakers, with the larger models employing true three-way configurations featuring dedicated midrange domes. The familiar layout, however, conceals deeper engineering improvements. The cabinets are slightly larger to increase internal volume, while new crossover designs and upgraded components contribute to a more immersive soundstage and smoother frequency integration.
