Mariusz Szczepaniak

A great fan of long bicycle trips, computer games and music, covering everything from classic rock, hip-hop or jazz to soundtracks and electronics. He plays the electric guitar, but the multitude of other passions and the lack of time made him abandon a dream of founding his own band and becoming a rockstar. However, he loves listening to artists who have managed to do so.

Matrix Audio MS-1c

Matrix Audio continues to develop its M Series, the company's most advanced line of digital sources, but its latest model is not simply another product aimed only at users looking for a full, no-compromise flagship. The MS-1c is intended as a more accessible entry point into this family, retaining many of the solutions known from the MS-1, but presenting them in the form of a network player that can work both as a standalone analog source and as a digital transport for an external DAC. In practice, this makes it a device for listeners who want to build a modern system based on streaming, a local file library and high-quality digital-to-analog conversion, but do not necessarily need the most elaborate model in the catalog. "The MS-1c is a response to the needs of audiophiles who are looking for the highest-quality digital source, but also value simplicity and functionality. Inheriting solutions from our flagship MS-1, the MS-1c offers the same level of precision and musicality while remaining a more accessible solution for those building their dream hi-fi system." - said Cao Yang, CEO of Matrix Audio.

Lyngdorf LCR-2

Lyngdorf is expanding its loudspeaker range with the LCR-2, an on-wall design created as a natural partner for the recently introduced FR-2 floorstanding speaker. The new model is intended primarily as an elegant center channel for home cinema systems, but its name already suggests that this is not its only possible role. LCR stands for Left, Center, Right, which means the LCR-2 can be used as a left, center or right channel, as well as a surround speaker in a more elaborate multichannel system. It is aimed at users who want to build a home cinema system or a multimedia setup in a living room, but do not necessarily want to add another large floorstander or a conventional standmount speaker. Here, the starting point is wall placement, a shallow cabinet, visual integration with modern interiors and sonic consistency with the FR-2.

iFi Audio ZEN Air DAC 2, ZEN Air Phono 2 & ZEN Air Blue 2

iFi Audio has refreshed one of its most accessible product families with three new ZEN Air 2 devices, each designed to solve a different and very common problem in everyday music listening. The ZEN Air DAC 2 is a compact digital-to-analog converter with a headphone amplifier, aimed primarily at people who listen from a computer, play games, watch movies or work at a laptop and want a clear upgrade over a standard audio output without building a large system. The ZEN Air Phono 2 is a phono preamplifier for MM and MC cartridges, allowing a turntable to be connected to an amplifier, active speakers or another component that lacks a suitable phono input. The ZEN Air Blue 2 serves a different purpose again. It is a Bluetooth receiver that allows a traditional amplifier, stereo system or pair of active speakers to gain wireless playback from a phone, tablet or computer. Together, the three models form a simple, affordable and compact route to upgrading an existing system without replacing its core components. In other words, iFi is not offering one universal box that tries to do everything, but three specialized tools - one for headphones, one for vinyl and one for Bluetooth streaming - each aimed at one of the most familiar weak points in home audio.

FiiO EH11

FiiO has introduced the EH11, lightweight on-ear Bluetooth headphones that combine styling inspired by portable audio designs from the 1980s with features typical of contemporary mobile devices. It is an unusual proposition, because instead of pretending to be a miniature version of studio monitors or another wireless gadget in a minimalist shell, the EH11 openly plays the retro card. The headphones have a compact, slim structure, several colorful finish options and distinctive wooden control elements, while still offering Bluetooth 6.0, LDAC support, dual-device connection and up to 30 hours of battery life.

Wharfedale Heritage Centre

Wharfedale expanded its Heritage Series with the introduction of the Heritage Centre, a dedicated centre-channel loudspeaker designed to integrate seamlessly with models such as the Linton, Super Linton, Super Denton, Dovedale and Aston in multichannel home cinema systems. Developed in response to growing demand from users building AV setups around Wharfedale's retro-inspired stereo speakers, the new model brings the tonal character and driver architecture of the Heritage range into the crucial dialogue channel position at the front of a surround system.

Denon AVR-S980H

Denon unveiled the AVR-S980H, a new 7.2-channel AV receiver designed as a central hub for contemporary home entertainment systems combining surround sound, streaming, and gaming functionality in a single chassis. Positioned as a step-up solution for users moving beyond soundbars and entry-level audio setups, the new model is intended to deliver a more immersive listening experience while remaining approachable in everyday installation and operation. According to Denon, the receiver reflects a broader shift toward flexible systems that adapt to modern households where television viewing, music streaming, and gaming increasingly share the same platform.

SVS 3000 Micro R|Evolution

SVS has expanded its compact subwoofer lineup with the introduction of the SVS 3000 Micro R|Evolution, a new sealed-cabinet model designed to deliver reference-grade low-frequency performance from an enclosure measuring just 11 inches across. Positioned as a successor to the earlier 3000 Micro, the new version brings updated drivers, a more powerful amplifier platform, and significantly increased DSP capability while maintaining the lifestyle-friendly form factor that made the original model popular in space-constrained listening rooms.

Vincent SA-32 AE

Vincent has introduced the SA-32 AE, a limited-production anniversary version of its hybrid stereo preamplifier created to mark 30 years of the company's Powerline series. Restricted to just 200 units worldwide, the new model builds on the long-running architecture that began with the SA-31 in 1996 and continued through later revisions culminating in the SA-32 released in 2017. The anniversary edition preserves the familiar hybrid tube-and-solid-state concept while expanding connectivity and revising key sections of the internal circuitry.

Schiit Eitr 2

Schiit Audio has introduced the Eitr 2, a compact digital-to-digital converter designed to improve signal integrity when using computers, tablets, or smartphones as audio sources in high-performance playback systems. Building on the concept of the original Eitr released in 2017, the new version expands connectivity with AES/EBU output, introduces support for the company's Forkbeard control platform, and replaces the earlier USB interface with Schiit's proprietary Unison USB architecture. Rather than acting as a conventional converter, the Eitr 2 operates as a signal-conditioning stage between a USB source and an external DAC. Incoming USB audio is reclocked and regenerated before being transmitted through transformer-isolated AES/EBU and coaxial outputs or via optical TOSLINK, with support for PCM signals up to 24-bit/192 kHz. The inclusion of a balanced AES interface is particularly notable at this price level, as it is typically reserved for professional or higher-end consumer equipment.

FiiO M33

FiiO has expanded its lineup with the M33, a portable digital audio player built around the company's proprietary R2R ladder DAC architecture, a solution previously associated mainly with stationary designs. The new DAP combines this classic digital-to-analog conversion topology with an Android 13 platform and a fully developed headphone amplification stage, positioning the M33 as a mobile source for listeners seeking a more analog-leaning presentation without sacrificing modern functionality. "M33 represents our vision of bringing the magic of analog sound into the user's pocket. By implementing our proprietary R2R architecture, we achieved a level of naturalness and fluidity that cannot be replicated by conventional methods. This is a product for those who look for emotion and authenticity in music." - explains James Chung, Product Director at FiiO.
