Noble Audio FoKus Artemis & FoKus Apollo Pro
The wireless headphone market is no longer defined only by convenience, battery life and noise cancellation. In its upper tier, it is increasingly becoming a place where brands are trying to translate ideas from serious wired headphones and in-ear monitors into a format that still works on a train, at a desk or during everyday listening. Noble Audio is now pushing that direction further with two new models in its FoKus line - the FoKus Apollo Pro and FoKus Artemis. Both build on the original FoKus Apollo, which Noble describes as the world's first wireless headphone to combine dynamic and planar magnetic driver technologies, but they approach the idea in different ways.
FoKus Apollo Pro is the more direct evolution of the original Apollo concept. The limited-run model keeps the hybrid dynamic and planar magnetic driver configuration, but adds upgraded acoustic tuning, revised materials and a more premium physical execution. Noble positions it as a more refined and performance-focused version of the Apollo platform, aimed at listeners who want a more elevated wireless experience without moving into an entirely different product concept.
The basic acoustic idea remains clear. The dynamic driver is intended to provide low-frequency authority, body and physical impact, while the planar magnetic driver adds speed, clarity and detail retrieval. This division of responsibilities is part of what made the original Apollo unusual in the wireless headphone market, where most models rely on a single dynamic driver per side. With Apollo Pro, Noble says it has refined the overall balance, presentation and musical engagement, while retaining the hybrid architecture that defines the platform.
The changes are not limited to tuning. Apollo Pro introduces updated fabric finishes, revised gunmetal accents, upgraded fabric cabling and new ear pad materials. These refinements are intended to make the headphone feel more luxurious and comfortable, while also improving portability. Noble has also introduced more compact packaging, which should make the model easier to travel with without abandoning the premium presentation expected from the brand. Another usability change is Voice Prompt functionality, replacing traditional notification tones with spoken confirmations for key functions and mode changes, including ANC activation. FoKus Apollo Pro is powered by Qualcomm's QCC3084 chipset and works with the Noble FoKus companion app, allowing users to manage playback settings, EQ adjustments and additional functions directly from the app.
FoKus Artemis takes the concept further and sits above Apollo Pro as Noble Audio's new flagship hybrid wireless over-ear headphone. First shown at High End Vienna 2026, Artemis builds on the foundation of FoKus Apollo, but adds a third driver technology to the platform. Instead of combining only one dynamic driver and one planar driver, Artemis uses a three-driver configuration consisting of one dynamic driver, one balanced armature driver and one planar driver.
Each driver type has a specific role. The dynamic driver is designed to deliver body, weight and bass presence. The balanced armature driver is intended to improve clarity, focus and articulation. The planar driver contributes speed, openness and extended detail. Noble presents this combination as a way of creating a wireless headphone that sounds powerful, spacious and refined, while retaining the musical character associated with the brand's IEMs and hybrid driver designs.
Artemis also introduces a more advanced personalization layer through Audiodo Personal Sound and Audiosphere technology. The system uses a guided hearing assessment to create an individual listening profile, adjusting playback according to the user's hearing rather than relying only on standard EQ presets. Noble expects Artemis to support key Audiodo functions including personal sound and Audiodo transparency features, with final integration planned for the refreshed Noble FoKus app.
The technical platform is different from Apollo Pro. FoKus Artemis is built around Qualcomm's QCC3095 platform and uses Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. It supports multipoint connection, allowing the headphone to remain connected to more than one device, and also offers USB audio for higher-quality playback from compatible sources. Users who prefer a wired connection can use the included USB-C to 3.5-mm adapter cable for 3.5-mm audio playback.
Artemis is intended to work as both a premium everyday headphone and a serious listening product. It includes Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, voice assistant support, proximity sensor functionality and a six-microphone system for calls and noise control. Battery life is targeted at more than 50 hours of playback, or more than 35 hours with ANC enabled. The headphone uses a 600-mAh battery, supports fast charging and charges in under 1.5 hours via USB-C.
One of the most interesting practical details is the fully self-replaceable battery. In the wireless headphone market, where many expensive models can become difficult to service once their batteries age, this is a meaningful ownership feature. Artemis also weighs under 350 g, has a rotating design, replaceable ear cushions, magnetic detachable ear pads and IP52 water resistance. The combination suggests that Noble is not treating the model as a fragile audiophile object, but as a premium headphone designed for daily use, travel, office listening and longer-term ownership.
The difference between Apollo Pro and Artemis is therefore not only a matter of price. Apollo Pro refines the original dynamic and planar Apollo platform with better materials, tuning and presentation. Artemis expands the concept into a more ambitious flagship, adding balanced armature precision, Audiodo personalization, a newer Qualcomm platform, USB audio, improved everyday functionality and a stronger focus on serviceability. Together, the two launches show how Noble is developing FoKus into a broader wireless headphone family rather than a single experimental model. FoKus Artemis is priced at €949/£799/$899, with shipping expected in July 2026.
