Triangle Electroacoustique is introducing a new generation of its premium wireless loudspeaker system with the launch of Capella 2, a pair of active bookshelf speakers designed and manufactured in France and supplied with a dedicated network hub. Building on the versatility and musicality of the original Capella concept, the new system aims to offer a more intuitive user experience and a higher level of performance, combining the brand's acoustic know how with modern streaming technologies and fully wireless communication between speakers. The idea is to provide a complete all in one solution that can handle television sound, vinyl and high resolution streaming with equal ease, while remaining compact enough to integrate discreetly into a wide range of living spaces.

Triangle Electroacoustique is one of the oldest French loudspeaker manufacturers. Although the latest anniversary models, still available for sale, were introduced on the occasion of the company's fortieth birthday, at this point we are already halfway to another round anniversary (Renaud de Vergnette founded Triangle in 1980). We all know the story - the music lover and hi-fi equipment enthusiast thought that the speakers available on the market didn't perform as well as they could, so he set himself the goal of creating speakers delivering a clean, dynamic, and natural sound. Many audiophiles can also point out several elements characteristic of the brand's sets. Paper midrange drivers, horn tweeters, high efficiency, an interesting anti-vibration system with a large spike, and extravagant finishes. I can list these features from memory after reviewing the Comète 40th Anniversary Edition, Magellan Cello 40th, Borea Active BR02 BT or the Capella wireless monitors. However, no single product will tell us about the company's history, philosophy, and plans, so I decided to talk to Elodie Deveau, Triangle's Sales Manager.

Designed from the ground up, featuring several new audio innovations, the new range of speakers from the renowned French manufacturer is limited to 500 pairs per model. The Magellan 40th Anniversary range comprises two floor-standing speakers, the Quatuor 40th and Cello 40th, the Duetto 40th bookshelf speakers; and the Voce 40th center speaker. The new S08 and S08-C speaker stands compliment this new line-up.

Boasting a worldwide success, the Borea range now includes two new active and connected models in bookshelf format. The Borea Active speakers are genuine high-fidelity systems. Compact and all-in-one, they provide a rich audio and video experience - stream your music in high resolution with Bluetooth aptX, reproduce the warm sound of a vinyl turntable, link your TV, or create a fuller experience with the addition of a subwoofer. The Borea Active BR02 BT and Borea Active BR03 BT speakers create a compact and powerful all-in-one Hi-Fi system with multiple features. These active speakers have been designed for modern and versatile use.

Triangle introduced two new subwoofers benefiting from the experience of its previous models and expanding its Thetis and Tales ranges. The manufacturer took the opportunity to optimize the amplifiers on all models by focusing on the power handling of the driver at high volume as well as the dynamic range.

The French are very progressive. Not only do they want to be first in everything, but they often are. It seems that the concept of usual economy is sometimes limited in this country. If it wasn't true, they probably wouldn't build the famous TGV train or the Millau Viaduct. Travel with ordinary train or a bus would be much cheaper after all, and instead of a giant overpass you could easily build a road leading down and then up the valley. The French definitely can go crazy. From time to time they put aside the standard thinking and do something that others see later in admiration. No wonder that many companies producing hi-fi equipment have built their power in France. Especially speakers manufacturers. Triangle is one of three largest producers of speakers in France. Founded in the early 80's, it first came up with some unusually shaped speakers, but many people criticized the company for a lack of technical innovation in the drivers.
