Pro-Ject Debut PRO
Pro-Ject offer high-quality hi-fi products at a reasonable price for discerning music lovers since 1991. The Debut Carbon EVO revolutionized the Debut series in 2020. Now the Debut PRO raises the bar even higher. Pro-Ject designed not only a new turntable but also an entirely new cartridge. Thanks to the excellent manufacturing skills of Ortofon they were able to produce a very special cartridge - The Pick it PRO. The Pick it PRO delivers a more lively and robust sound and convinces with its big dynamic range. The perfect combination of components is the key to achieve the Pick it PRO’s great charismatic sound the engineers were aiming for.
The Debut PRO comes equipped with a single-piece carbon-aluminum hybrid tonearm. The carbon layer gives the tonearm a high degree of rigidity, while the inner aluminum tube takes over the damping of the tonearm. This super stiff and uniquely dampened tonearm construction ensures the perfect tracking of the record groove. The Debut PRO‘s new tonearm allows both azimuth and the vertical tracking angle (VTA) adjustment. You can continuously adjust the tonearm height. These settings of the Debut PRO give you the option of adapting the tonearm to height changes from different turntable mats or other cartridges to achieve the best sound quality.
The nickel-finished aluminum components offer a harder, more resistant surface. Very high-quality and sustainable components help us cut down on materials that continue to age over time like plastics. The precision CNC milled parts are optically perfectly matched and underline the modern, simple and, elegant design. The electronically controlled precision motor guarantees the most accurate and stable speeds. The toggle switch changes rotation speed. The supplied round belt enables 78 RPM for your shellac records. Motor vibrations do not reach the cartridge due to the new, proven motor suspension for perfect motor decoupling. The die-cast aluminum platter is reworked and precision balanced in an extra step to perfect the platter. The heavy aluminum platter has a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) ring affixed to the inside that helps dampen resonances entirely and minimize wow and flutter.
The Debut PRO brings an absolutely new design to Pro-Ject turntables. The audiophile turntable is convincing in all respects – not only visually, but even more importantly in terms of sound. The Pro-Ject 1 and its successor, the Debut series, revolutionized listening to music bringing back the love of analogue playback devices –a turning point for the vinyl industry.
