Digital playback software specialist Roon Labs has had a stellar rise in terms of what many audio enthusiasts and music lovers around the world consider the best music playback platform. Content with the wide audio enthusiast acceptance of its software playback platform, Roon Labs has now announced the release of its own range of hardware options. The Nucleus and Nucleus+ are custom-designed streaming devices that are also multi-zone-ready in order to stream music to any device around the home. The Nucleus and Nucleus+ streaming devices are compatible with a whole stream of devices from major manufacturers such as Sonos, Bluesound, NAD, PS Audio, dCS, Naim, Bryston, Krell, DEQX and dozens more popular brands. Both units are AirPlay compatible and are capable of streaming simultaneously to more than five zones from NAS drives, USB storage devices and TIDAL.

The units also feature DSP user customization features which allow optimum playback and accurate acoustic matching to any home environment. The DSP function offers equalization, room correction and speaker setup assistance with all of these functions being independently adaptable to each room. In fact, the Nucleus and Nucleus+ are compatible with Control4 and Crestron integration systems so installations with high levels of complexity can also be catered for.
