Lyngdorf TDAI-2210
Lyngdorf Audio has announced the launch of its latest digital streaming amplifier, the TDAI-2210 - a model that bridges the gap between the compact TDAI-1120 and the flagship TDAI-3400, offering a balance of versatility, performance and refinement. The new amplifier features an elegant colour touchscreen interface, next-generation digital amplification, and the company's acclaimed RoomPerfect room calibration technology. The TDAI-2210 represents Lyngdorf's continuing evolution of digital amplification design. With multiple digital inputs, including USB-C and HDMI 2.1, analogue connections, optional modular expansion, and integrated music streaming, the amplifier is engineered to adapt to any system configuration. Delivering 2 x 210 watts into 4 ohms, it has the power and control to drive even the most demanding loudspeakers with ease.
A key new feature is the colour touchscreen display, which introduces a more intuitive user experience. Designed with a smooth glass surface chosen for its tactile quality and resistance to fingerprints, it guides users through setup, navigation and playback with vivid clarity. The interface simplifies access to the amplifier's many functions while complementing the minimalist aesthetic Lyngdorf is known for.
As its name implies, the TDAI - True Digital Amplifier Integrated - operates entirely in the digital domain. The digital signal remains unconverted until it reaches the speaker outputs, and volume adjustment occurs directly in the output stage rather than through analogue attenuation. This unique approach eliminates unnecessary circuitry, reducing noise, distortion and crosstalk. The result is a sound that remains pure, precise and consistent across all listening levels, free from the colouration associated with traditional analogue designs.
Equally integral to the TDAI-2210's performance is RoomPerfect, Lyngdorf's proprietary room calibration system. Widely regarded as one of the most sophisticated solutions of its kind, RoomPerfect analyses the acoustic characteristics of a listening space, correcting issues such as uneven bass response, excessive reverberation or compromised imaging. Rather than flattening the sound, it preserves the natural tonal balance of the loudspeakers, ensuring they perform at their best within the specific acoustics of the room. The process is fully app-controlled, requiring no additional software or calibration expertise.
Every TDAI-2210 is designed, assembled and tested at Lyngdorf's facility in Skive, Denmark. Each unit undergoes a comprehensive 24-hour evaluation, during which all inputs and outputs are measured and both amplifier channels are driven under load to verify full compliance with performance specifications. This rigorous quality control ensures the reliability and longevity expected from a Lyngdorf product.
