Indiana Line Lira 2, Lira 5 &Lira 7

The Lira series is based on Indiana Line's proprietary Symbiotic Drive concept, which treats the drivers, cabinet and crossover not as separate elements, but as one closely integrated electroacoustic system. According to the company, the goal is a natural, harmonious and coherent sound rather than the simple assembly of independent components. The new designs use Curv diaphragms, Al-Mg tweeters, MDF cabinets and internal bracing made from bamboo panels, intended to reduce resonances and improve clarity. The series also retains its distinctive tilted baffles, irregular cabinet lines, minimalist styling, matte finish and magnetically attached grilles.

The largest of the new models is the Lira 5, a two-way floorstanding speaker designed as a slimmer and more compact alternative to the Lira 6. It uses a 28-mm Al-Mg tweeter with a 3D-Guide waveguide and EQ-Ring phase corrector, along with two 150-mm midwoofers with Curv diaphragms and second-generation Dual-Wave suspension. The bass-reflex port fires downward, a solution intended to support low-frequency reproduction while reducing unwanted placement-related interference in the room. The tilted cabinet and trapezoidal geometry are also designed to improve time alignment between the drivers, which should translate into better integration across the frequency range and a more orderly soundstage.

The Lira 2 is a compact standmount speaker intended for smaller rooms, stereo systems and multichannel installations. It uses a 150-mm midwoofer based on solutions also found in the Lira 5, together with a 28-mm Al-Mg tweeter. In this model, the bass-reflex port fires to the rear, supporting low-frequency extension, while the tilted cabinet - as in the larger models - helps improve driver time alignment. Because it shares the same sonic character as the other Lira designs, the Lira 2 can be used either as the main loudspeaker pair in a small stereo system or as a surround speaker in a home cinema setup built around larger models from the same series.

The third new model, the Lira 7, has been developed as a center channel speaker for home cinema systems based on the Lira range. It uses the same drivers as the Lira 5, including two 150-mm units with Curv diaphragms. This is intended to help maintain consistency across the front soundstage, which is particularly important in multichannel systems when effects move between channels and when dialogue needs to remain clear and stable. The tilted front baffle is designed to direct sound more effectively toward the listener, while the rear bass-reflex port supports a fuller and more dynamic presentation in the frequency range responsible for voice intelligibility and the naturalness of film soundtracks.

The expansion of the Lira series shows that Indiana Line wants this line to be seen not only as a collection of individual models for traditional stereo systems, but as a complete platform for building different configurations - from a compact two-channel setup to a more elaborate home theater. The new Lira 2, Lira 5 and Lira 7 should make it easier to match the loudspeakers to room size, placement options and user expectations while retaining a consistent visual language and shared sonic identity. The first units are expected to reach authorized dealers in 2026. European pricing is set at €849 per pair for the Lira 2, €1759 per pair for the Lira 5 and €589 each for the Lira 7.
