The new speaker line by AudioSolutions called Overture has been presented last weekend during the Audio Video Show in Poland. The new line is a replacement for the Euphony collection, and its name means the beginning of something more exquisite, an introduction to an extended work. No wonder new speakers look more mature and interesting.
Overture line consists of five different speakers to satisfy any requirements. We have the 0201C center channel, 0202B bookshelf speaker and three floorstanding models - 0203F, 0204F and 0205F. Lithuanian engineers developed a new type of protective grill which doesn't distort the sound. As we know, typical grilles have large frames, which means the sound is distorted quite a lot. AudioSolutions' grilles are completely different - each speaker comes with two detachable front panels, which are identical but one of them is covered with a protective cloth. This way you get exactly the same sound, tonal balance and clarity with or without grilles. Although we have to mention that a similar system was introduced by Audio Physic in their Classic line for example.
The tweeters in Overture speakers are loaded with a mini horn to raise the sensitivity in a critical region and unload tweeter itself. According to the manufacturer, this lowers THD very efficiently. Most Overture speakers are classic 2-way ported boxes. Only the O204F is a 3-way and the O205F is a 2.5-way construction. All speakers come with double binding posts for bi-wiring and bi-amping.
Overture speakers come in a variety of finishes - a lot of gloss finishes, never before seen textured gloss finishes, classic oak finishes and never high-gloss natural exotic wood finishes. In addition AudioSolutions use special scratch-resistant coating. Prices will start from €660 for the O201C center channel. A pair of O202B monitors will cost €800 and the floorstanding O203F, O204F and O205F models will be priced at €1880, €2330 and €2790. Press release and photos by AudioSolutions.
